Honda has unveiled S660 Modulo Neo Classic racer concept with retro looks of race cars of the past. The concept car is based on the S660 Neo Classic concept showcased in 2016, which became so famous that Honda introduced a body kit to customize the regular S660.

The S660 Modulo Neo Classic racer concept takes a step ahead of that, introducing black plastic headlights to shield the Kei car from track debris, bolt-on fender flares, front and rear spoilers, and hood-mounted mirrors. To finalize the race car appearance, the automaker used red and blue racing graphics.

While it looks like a little sports car, when we hit the pedal to check its performance we feel unsatisfied. We cannot blame the car much since it only has a turbocharged 0.7-liter 3-cylinder engine creating the power of only 63 horses. The 0 to 60 is slower than one would imagine; it takes 12.4 seconds.

As evident from the pictures, this is a very small car, so getting in and out will not be fun. Nonetheless, it is very lightweight with 1,840 pounds of weight that makes it ideal for sharp turns.

The Modulo Neo Classic racer concept will publicly be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon on Jan. 11. Only if the people like it, Honda might introduce another body kit for the little sporty Kei car. We should not get excited; the car is only available in Japan, so the only chance to own it in the UAE is to import it from Japan.
