The 2019 Cadillac CTS-V is here with the most powerful engine ever installed in a production Cadillac. Motoraty team got a chance to get behind the wheels of the new 2019 CTS-V. Let’s discuss its salient features.
It houses a 6.2L Supercharged V8 yielding an earth-shattering 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with magnesium paddle shifters. This huge power enables it to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, with a top track speed of 200 mph. The automaker made it track-capable from the factory by installing electronic limited-slip differential, racing-inspired cooling systems, magnetic ride control suspension, Brembo high-performance brakes, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
The exterior entails an aggressive and sporty appearance thanks to the aero splitter, carbon fiber hood, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser. The interior is adorned with Recaro performance seats, thick-rim steering wheel, and carbon fiber trim.
On the technology front, the super sedan has so much to offer. The Performance Data Recorder (PDR) captures your track driving, recording video, audio and performance data in real time. Additionally, you get an updated infotainment system, Apple Carplay, and reconfigurable displays.
We did not receive any info about the pricing, however, the 2018 CTS-V starts at AED 348,800.
