Bugatti confirmed that their exclusive Chiron Divo will be unveiled publicly at the 2018 Monterey Car Week on August 24. This is the same car which was showcased at a private event in Los Angeles in May. The new variant of Chiron, of which only 40 examples will be built, has reportedly been crafted for the track. Hence, it will feature racing transmission, racing suspension, enhanced aerodynamics and less weight.

Recently, 100th Chiron rolled out of the factory, so we still have 400 left for which 40 will be Divos.

In terms of output, the Divo will march its elder sibling’s 1480 horsepower. However, Bugatti’s focus is not on top speed here, so the Chiron Divo won’t go beyond 239 mph. Bugatti’s main focus is on making the car faster around the corners which requires better acceleration. Hence, we expect a faster acceleration from naught to 62 mph compared to the Chiron’s 2.5 seconds.

Exotic supercars are sold very easily even with their exorbitant price tags. The Bugatti Chiron Divo is reportedly worth $5.8 million and all the 40 have already been booked. The real price and features of the Bugatti Chiron Divo will be known near its launch.
