The folks at Bentley have decided to produce a high-performance version of the Bentley Bentayga SUV after introducing a V8 earlier this year. Known as Bentayga Speed, it will house an immensely powerful 6.0-liter dual turbocharged W12 engine to produce a power of 600 horses.
The changes are not limited to Performance, the overall design will also be getting a few tweaks to distinguish the Speed from the regular models. This was confirmed by design chief Stefan Sielaff when he spoke to Autocar earlier this week. The front fascia will be upgraded including the front grille and the wheels. Inside the SUV’s cabin, we will have new upholstery and sport-inspired trim for a sportier and appealing look.
The standard Bentayga has a top speed of 187 mph. So, obviously, we can expect a higher speed for the Bentayga Speed. The Bentley Bentayga was the fastest production SUV in the world before the Lamborghini Urus took the title with its 190 mph top speed. Bentley hopes to take back the title by updating the Bentley Bentayga SUV. Perhaps it could reach 200 mph top speed.
Details about the SUV’s price and performance figures will be released when it goes into production.
