The 2019 GMC Yukon has gotten an upgrade in the design and performance department. Earlier this week on Monday, GMC unveiled the 2019 Yukon Graphite Edition as well as the Graphite Performance Edition. The Graphite Editions will only be available on the SLT trim of the Yukon and Yukon XL SUVs. The Graphite Edition only enhances the aesthetic of the SUV whereas the Performance Edition adds both exterior design elements and power under the hood.
The Graphite Edition adds 22-inch huge wheels to the basic GMC Yukon with a gloss black finish. There is also a black mesh-grille along with black running boards, black tinted windows, and black colored roof rails. Almost everything excluding the GMC logo on the front grille, the Yukon emblem on the side and back and the headlights are covered in the color black. The package does not have enhancements for the interior.
The Graphite Performance Edition, on the other hand, adds a bit more spice to the mixture, making it the better choice of the two. However, for this package to take more effect, buyers need to have the 2019 GMC Yukon Denali in place of the Yukon SLT. This package keeps the cosmetic upgrades from the other package and changes the power under the hood. The 355 hp 5.3-liter V8 is replaced by a more powerful 6.2-liter V8 making 420 hp while being mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The suspension also gets an upgrade thanks to the Magnetic Ride Control system. The interior gets Bose active noise cancellation, colored head-up display, and an 8-inch infotainment system.
The SUVs will start arriving in showrooms this summer. The prices are unknown.
