Hennessey Performance is known for its tuned upmarket vehicles. Their latest project is the 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Jeep originally did a pretty good job with the Grand Cherokee which is evident from its 707 hp powerhouse but Hennessey was not satisfied with that.

Hennessey Performance seriously cranked up the power under the Cherokee’s hood after installing fresh headers and retuned engine management software for Hellcat supercharged 6.2L V8 Hemi and managed to ooze out 1,000hp. This newfound power helps the Grand Cherokee accelerate from nought to sixty miles per hour in only 2.7 seconds. That’s an impressive improvement from the stock figure of 3.5 seconds.

The folks at Hennessey made sure the word gets out quickly, so they posted a video on YouTube showing the HPE1000 Trackhawk SUV’s immense power. It completed the quarter mile run in 10.7 seconds while registering 132 mph speed at the finish line.

Other vehicles that are in the 2.7 seconds league include the Lamborghini Aventador and the McLaren 650S. Hennessey hasn’t released the price of their 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk but seeing it obliterating the track, the price could be pretty high.
