The 2019 Honda Fit has been largely unchanged and the prices also remain the same with the base model starting at $17,080. This seems to be a great price for a new vehicle but its competitors fare much better. For instance, the 2018 Nissan Versa is priced at $16,485, the 2018 Ford Fiesta costs $15,380, the 2018 Chevrolet Sonic sells at $18,195, while the 2018 Toyota Yaris hatchback has a price tag of $17,280.

The 2019 Honda Fit retains LED taillights, Bluetooth, automatic headlights, a liftgate spoiler, and a rearview camera. The standard transmission is a six-speed manual, but an upgrade can be made to a CVT automatic by just spending $800 more. The customers opting for Honda Sensing have to dish out $18,880. Adding a CVT would cost an extra $800 like last year.

Stepping one step up the ladder is the Fit Sport with exterior and interior upgrades. Next comes the EX trim followed by top-end EX-L trim with the most advanced features such as leather upholstery and heated front seats. The Sport, EX and EX-L trims are priced at $18,390, $19,050 and $21,410 respectively.

The engine is unchanged, so the 2019 Honda Fit keeps last year’s 1.5-liter 4-cylinder unit that makes 130 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque. The CVT automatic transmission renders better fuel efficiency rated at 33/40/36 mpg compared to manual transmission’s 29/36/31 mpg.

The new Honda Fit hit the US showrooms on April 30th. Other than a new exterior color, there is no big change for the new model.
