Last year in August, spy photographers caught what appeared to be a testing mule of the upcoming Ford Bronco, and now the automaker has officially confirmed during an event in Michigan that the Bronco nameplate will be revived for 2020.
The automaker has also revealed a teaser image of the upcoming Ford Bronco, and although it is completely covered, the overall boxy shape and rugged nature of the SUV can be clearly noticed. Reports also indicate the Bronco will carry a hybrid powertrain, however, nothing suggests it will be a fully electrified model.
Talking to Fox News, the automaker’s head of global operations, Joe Hinrichs, mentioned that he sees a high demand for off-road vehicles as a lot of people are increasingly taking part in adventurous activities. Keeping this in mind, Ford has considered reviving the old Bronco nameplate and offer something innovative to customers.
Ford is also committed to add a number of new features to its upcoming SUVs. For example, the forthcoming 2019 Ford Edge ST will be equipped with a new Co-Pilot360 semi-autonomous safety system. The upcoming Bronco will also definitely boast impressive new technologies as well as a powerful drivetrain.
