A newly established Chinese company LVCHI Auto has just launched its all-electric sedan concept dubbed LVCHI Venere at the Geneva Auto Show and it’s definitely a masterpiece.
The LVCHI Venere concept is designed by I.D.E.A Institute which is an Italy based automobile design company. The same firm also designed the Sofia concept which was displayed at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. The Venere concept boasts an all-electric powertrain that offers more than 1,000 horsepower and 1,135 lb.-ft of torque. With this power, the sedan could sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 286 km/h. The powertrain consists of 4 electric motors, two at each axle, while the 100 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack is what powers them.
The Venere also features a carbon-fiber monocoque structure similar to a supercar, though it weighs 4,630 pounds (2,100 kg) making it a pretty heavy sedan.
The NEDC driving range suggests the Venere concept has a range of more than 652 km (405 miles).
The cabin offers high-end technologies with most of the functions controlled via touch display. The automaker plans to start the production of LVCHI Venere in 2019 and has also expressed its interest in developing more cars in the future.
