The new 2018 GL 1800 GoldWing Tour motorcycle has been launched by Honda UAE and it boasts an innovative new design along with some impressive enhancements.
The GL 1800 GoldWing will be available as a base model while the ‘Tour’ edition will feature a top box, DCT, and an airbag. The flat-six cylinder engine remains the same as the previous model and it offers a power output of 93 kW and 170 Nm of torque. The new throttle by wire adds four driving modes to the motorcycle including, ‘Tour’, ‘Sport’, ‘ECON’ and ‘Rain’. The Hill Start Assist, as well as Idling Stop, has also been added.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, however, customers can also opt for the new Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The convenience features include a 7-inch TFT display, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto along with smart-key access.
