Those who want to avail 50% discount on traffic fines have to hurry up, as today is the last day of submission. Abu Dhabi Police declared this on their social media account and also told us that Tasjeel centers will remain open till mid-night to facilitate motorists in this regard.
The 50% discounted which was applicable on fines incurred from January 1, 2017, to December 2, 2017, was initiated on the orders of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The authorities across the UAE have already informed motorists about the deadline. They are also urging everyone with a fine to not lose this opportunity.
The discount which was offered to mark the Year of Zaid was a positive step toward making roads safer and persuade people to follow traffic laws.
