Morris Garages has unveiled its new MG RX5 SUV for the Middle Eastern markets allowing customers to choose from four different models with two engine options and price starting from just $14,200.
The MG RX5 targets the younger generation in the ME hoping to buy a stylish, affordable and technologically advanced vehicle. Under the hood, the SUV houses either a 1.5L petrol engine joined with a 7-speed automatic or a 2.0L engine helped by a 6-speed automatic. The 2.0-liter engine is fitted in the mid-range and top-range trim levels.
The exterior exudes an aura of futuristic confidence, adorned with stylish LED headlamps, wing-shaped grill and novel fog lamps which are hard to miss. The RX5 sits on 18-inch wheels (available in the COM and LUX trim levels) and combines the shiny chrome plate – situated between the dual tail lights – with a sharp waistline to increase the attractiveness of the vehicle.
The interior is full of high-end luxuries including a vast sunroof allowing the natural light to come in. The 2700mm wheelbase, a total length of 4545mm, rear leg space of 982mm and headroom of 987mm make this SUV stand apart.
The standard amenities include remote, one-touch opening of the rear hatch, keyless entry, a start button, and an AutoHold function. Using remote the driver can operate the air conditioning and it also reminds of the needful services. Placed on the dash is a 10.4” high-definition infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay functionality and Navigation for the COM and LUX models, whereas an 8” color navigation system is installed in the STD models.
