GMC has introduced a newly designed Yukon Denali which delivers exceptionally well in style and performance. New to the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali is a redesigned front grille, a new 10-speed transmission and 22-inch tires to promote the utmost safety, comfort and a pleasurable experience.
GMC developed the multi-dimensional front grille, sculpted in layers, reminiscent of other grilles in GMC models such as the Acadia and Terrain. The HID headlamps and LED Signature Lighting, accompany the grille to radiate a modern image. “It’s a more exciting and sophisticated design while remaining instantly recognizable as part of the GMC Denali family,” commented Matt Noone, director, Global GMC Exterior Design. The unique front grille is not just for show, it serves a larger purpose as it makes the SUV more efficient by improving aerodynamics and increasing air intake.
The advanced 10-speed transmission of the Yukon Denali delivers exceptional performance. Compared to the 2017 Denali’s 8-speed transmission, the new transmission has a wider, 7.39 overall gear ratio spread, increasing operational efficiency. This fresh technology allows the 6.2L V-8 EcoTec3 engine to function with precision to create 420hp and 460lb-ft of torque. The SUV is thirsty for fuel as it provides 14 mpg in the city and 22 mpg with highway driving.
The interior of the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali has been upgraded and now includes the new ash trim, new brushed aluminum and more. A four-color head-up display, an 8.0-inch infotainment screen, Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless phone charging, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility accompany the new features in the SUV. The 2018 GMC Yukon Denali possesses magnetic ride control, adaptive damping suspension, tow/haul mode, hill start assist, locking rear differential and more.
The Denali is accessible in Yukon and Yukon XL models. The XL model has been extended by 20-inches overall for enhanced third-row legroom and more cargo room. The 2018 GMC Yukon Denali will start rolling in showrooms later this year with a price tag starting from $80,000.
