Abu Dhabi Police has defined new speed limit of 141 km/h on Al Mafraq – Al Ghuwaifat international highway. The announcement was made by Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director of Central Operations and the new limit was implemented on Jan 1, 2018.
The Ministry of Interior’s initiative is to promote road safety for all commuters. The radars will detect and catch any light vehicle speeding at 141 km/h as per the new speed limit.

The Director of Central Operations has asked all motorists to comply with the new traffic law in order to avoid the dangers and risks of overspeeding.

The Police has been successful in reducing the number of fatalities in 2017 compared to 2016, and this new campaign dubbed as ‘Don’t let speeding turn you into a killer’ will further help to reduce road deaths.
