Booking a taxi in Dubai would never have been so easier before thanks to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) efforts which made it possible to book a taxi in Dubai in just 4 minutes. Previously, customers have to wait 12 minutes to get their ride.
The RTA has taken this initiative on increasing customer demand and said, “Expanding our fleet of taxis meant adding to carbon emissions and having to build more infrastructure to support more vehicles.”

“The best solution was to partner with Uber and Careem, two private entities, and thanks to the partnership, has reduced the waiting time down to four minutes,” it added.
Apart from reducing booking time, the association of RTA with Careem and Uber also gives customers extra options including the new licensed RTA limousine service.
