While speed limits on some roads of UAE have been decreased, the Sharjah Police has bumped the speed limit on Mleiha-Faiya Street in the mid area of Sharjah from 80kmph to 100kmph.
The Department of Traffic and Patrols of the Sharjah Police indorsed on Thursday that they have altered both the stationed and mobile radars on the street for the updated limit. The move is part of the comprehensive traffic safety strategy to make the roads safer and more accessible for road users. The Police department is urging motorists to abide by the new speed limit and adopt the safe driving culture.
The authorities are working on to adjust speed limits on other roads as well. However, it is not known yet if they will increase or decrease the limits.
