We all know that supercars are all about speed; they need to be low in weight and have more power to push the car to a mindboggling speed. The recent Bugatti Chiron world record of 0-400-0 KM/H was miraculous, but as we believe no record in the world can be permanent, this one took just under 2 months to be broken by Koenigsegg Agera RS.
The Bugatti Chiron 0-400-0 KM/H world record was made in 41.96 seconds, while the Agera RS achieved the same in just 36.44 seconds. Packing a one-megawatt powerplant (which is different from the standard Agera), it creates 1,360 horsepower. Additionally, the Agera RS is only 3,075 pounds against Chiron’s 4,400 pounds. Only the weight difference speaks volume about this new 0-400-0 KM/H world record.
The low weight is not the only deciding factor, there were other factors too like the g-force and braking. I’m sure, some automaker is readying a car that can beat this figure by a good margin.
