The current Mercedes-Benz G-Class is due for a full redesign soon, however before that, the German automaker has decided to showcase an exclusive model, dubbed as Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition. As the name suggests, it will serve as the final edition to the brawny G65 SUV.

The original G65 launched in 2012 carried a twin-turbo V-12 engine, which developed 621 horsepower and 738 pounds-feet of torque. It was a heavy SUV weighing around 6,000 pounds, yet was able to hit the 60 mph mark in just 5.3 seconds. The Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition carries the same 6.0L V12 unit which is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission system.

What differentiates the Final Edition G65 from the regular model is the matte bronze finishing on the 21-inch five twin-spoke wheels, front bumper, grille, side mirrors, and on the spare tire cover. The exhaust pipes are also wrapped in matte black.

On the inside, the Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition gets black Nappa leather upholstery, light-brown colored stitching, and seat side bolsters in carbon fiber. Special badges can also be found inside.

The automaker will build only 65 examples of the Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition out of which 30 will be sold in the United States. The starting price will be $252,690, including destination.
