The new third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS has been spotted parked somewhere in Germany with a very little camouflage and the spy photographers were able to take photos of the car.

Only the rear fascia was covered, thus we could not see the boot lid and the tail lights. Also, since the Mercedes CLS was parked next to a wall, the front section was not visible either. However, in the previous spy shots, we saw that the front grille adopted an aggressive design, while the angular headlights further enhanced the overall look of the car.

From the sides, the new Mercedes-Benz CLS appears to be smooth and sleek, while on the inside, the cockpit features analog instruments and circular air vents. May be on the higher variants, the cockpit will feature a digital display.

Reports suggest the new CLS will ride on the same platform as the E-Class. It means a plug-in hybrid model of the CLS could be introduced as well.

Powering the Mercedes CLS will most likely be a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six cylinder engine. A high performance variant with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine may also be offered.

More details will be uncovered as the Mercedes-Benz CLS makes its debut at the LA Motor Show.
