In order to enhance the road networks of UAE, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has decided to close Sharjah Ring Road for 4 months. The Sharjah Ring Road will be shut from October 15, 2017 till February 15, 2018. The announcement was made by Ahmed Al Hammadi, manager of roads department at the ministry.
The development work at the industrial area 17 may cause traffic congestion, so motorists are advised to drive slow and follow road signs. “However, the ministry has added more space at the junction to boost traffic flow during the closure period.”
The government is trying its best to maintain UAE roads as per international standards. “This will boost the transport sector across the country, and support our economic growth,” said Al Hammadi.
