The South Korean automaker is all pumped up to showcase its latest Kia Proceed concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which will give us a hint about what the next-gen Cee’d look like.

Dubbed as the ‘extended hot hatch’ by Kia, the Proceed concept adopts styling similar to the Audi Sportback and the Volvo V40. Up front, it boasts a tiger-nose grille, a sporty bumper, massive wind screen, and while at the top, a full-length glass roof can be seen. The A pillars extend all the way from the front to the rear merging into the C pillars. It also features what is termed as ‘Luminline’- an illuminated outline of the car’s glasshouse, making it unique among all other fastback cars. The wheels are 20-inch six-spoke aluminum alloys adding a sporty persona to the car.

The body is covered in a sexy ‘Lava Red’ paintwork, created specifically by combining multiple layers of black, chrome-effect silver, and red-tinted lacquer.

Under the hood, the KIA Proceed concept is most likely to be equipped with an upgraded version of the Kia 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder unit.

The Kia Proceed concept is designed by Kia’s Frankfurt studio and will be displayed at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show.
