While many motorists have been warned and charged with fines on child car seats, a couple was lucky to win a luxury car i.e. the new Infiniti Q50 at the first weekly draw of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) arranged by the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) in collaboration with the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).
The lucky winner is Piyush Agrawal who recently came to Dubai and went for shopping child car seats for his daughters. He filled a raffle coupon and surprisingly won the luxury car in ‘Shop, Win & Drive’ weekly draw.
Agarwal said, “When I received the call from the DSMG team congratulating me on my win, I thought it was a prank call. Only when I saw my name on the website, did I really believe it. I owe this prize to my daughters, who are my good luck charm. Had I not bought the car seats for them, I wouldn’t have won this prize,” said an ecstatic Agrawal.
This is the first luxury car out of total 6 which will be raffled away to lucky winner every week till August 12. To make an entry in the lucky draw and win a luxury car, shoppers have to spend Dh200.
Child car seats have been made mandatory by law and some hospitals are even gifting these seats to parents of the new born, so they can use them in their cars for free.
