Suzuki has published a short teaser video that previews the iV-4 concept that will greet the public for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show next September.

The iV-4 takes the form of a compact crossover that wears an aggressive front end and a rugged overall look.  Suzuki is not releasing any additional details but the concept is believed to preview a long-rumored Nissan Juke-fighter that is scheduled to arrive in showrooms in Europe and in Asia in 2015 at the earliest.

The yet-unnamed crossover will ride on the same platform as the SX4 S-Cross that debuted in Geneva last March.  The two cars will share the same gasoline- and diesel-burning four-cylinder engines but the Juke-fighter will be positioned a little higher up and be highly customizable inside and out in order to appeal to a young and trendy target audience.  Extra technology inside will help justify its slightly higher price.

Suzuki has a history of unveiling close-to-production concepts, so the iV-4 will accurately preview the Japanese firm’s upcoming small ‘ute.  Look for more details about it to emerge in the weeks leading up to the Frankfurt show.
