The facelifted 2017 Nissan Qashqai will soon be arriving at the UK dealerships, as Europe’s best-selling crossover has entered production at the Nissan’s Sunderland plant. The vehicle was first unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show this year.

The 2017 Nissan Qashqai features upgrades in four areas including the exterior design, interior quality, improved performance and newly added Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility technologies.

Talking about the exterior, the front profile of the new Qashqai features a sharp-looking V-motion grille, LED daytime running lights integrated in the headlights, plus an optional adaptive projector technology for headlamps will also be available.

On the inside, the 2017 Nissan Qashqai boasts a new infotainment display and a steering wheel with mounted multi-function controls. Optional equipment will include a seven-speaker sound system.

The most important feature on the 2017 Qashqai is the Nissan’s new ProPILOT technology, which will allow it to steer, accelerate and brake autonomously on a single highway lane. Nissan says the future updates on the ProPILOT technology will allow the Qashqai to even change lanes itself. Moreover, the new safety features have been added such as automatic braking, pedestrian detection system and rear cross traffic alert.

No changes have been done to the powertrains, which means the 2017 Nissan Qashqai will be available in a choice of 1.2-liter and 1.6-liter petrol and 1.5-liter and 1.6-litre diesel engines.

Also, the automaker will be adding a new range-topping Tekna+ trim with sport luxury facilities like alloy wheels, nappa leather upholstery and more.
