A few days back we brought you news regarding the debut of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS at the E3 Conference. The automaker did not reveal much about the car there. For those of you who were interested in buying the most powerful 911 ever, you’re out of luck, as a report from German publication Autobild mentions that the automaker will build only 1,000 units of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS and all of them have already been sold out. Each model costs 260,000 euros in Germany (USD $289,000).

Another publication, Jalopnik reached out to Porsche officials regarding this report, but could not get any confirmation. Although the engine specs of 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS are not officially announced, but we got to know from multiple sources it will be powered by an upgraded version of the 911 Turbo’s 3.8L twin-turbo flat-six cylinder engine, which will produce around 700 horsepower. Other performance features will include a lightweight titanium exhaust, large turbos and a water-injection system.

On the outside, the 2018 GT2 RS will include a number of aerodynamic updates such as new intakes, rear spoiler, hood ducts and more. The power will be delivered to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission system.
