There is no second opinion on the fact that Tesla Motors is the leading electric vehicle maker on the planet, but what’s even more amazing is that the company’s CEO, Elon Musk is always working to further improve the Tesla’s lineup. In his recent reply on Twitter, Elon Musk stated that the new upcoming Tesla roadster might be able to hit 60 mph in under two seconds. If this turns out to be true, the next Tesla could be the quickest street-legal car in the world.
In the past too, Elon Musk gave us some hints regarding the upcoming Tesla roadster. He mentioned that it will be faster than the current top-of-the-line Tesla Model S P100D, which goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds with the Ludicrous mode enabled.
He also mentioned about the “Maximum Plaid” performance mode, which will be offered in the upcoming roadster and it will be more advanced compared to the ludicrous mode. That’s all we know regarding the roadster’s performance at the moment.
However, the new Tesla roadster is not planned to launch anytime soon, as the automaker is still working on the upcoming Tesla Model 3, which is set to arrive at the dealerships in the coming few months.
