Audi has finally added the second-generation Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus model to the lineup and it is definitely one of the sexiest cars introduced by the German automaker. It is the fastest and most powerful series production soft top in the company’s history.

Powering the Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus is a 5.2-liter V-10 naturally aspirated unit which is also found in the R8 V10 Plus Coupe. This engine delivers a mighty 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque allowing the R8 Spyder to sprint from standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 203 mph. Power is delivered to all-four wheels via the seven-speed paddleshift transmission system. On the other hand, the regular R8 Spyder V10 with a 5.2-liter V-10 generates 540 hp and 398 lb-ft.

Standard features on the Audi R8 V10 Plus include carbon fiber-reinforced plastic seat frames, carbon-ceramic brakes, Nappa leather trim, high-end infotainment system, leather covered steering wheel and more. It also sports soft-top roof, which takes about 20 seconds to open/close and is functional at speeds up to 31 mph.

Audi has neither announced when the R8 Spyder V10 Plus will go on sale nor mentioned the pricing details, but we know it will be priced above the standard R8 Spyder V10’s price tag of $176,350.
