In a bid to improve upon its customer service and productivity, Dubai Police has launched a plethora of smart projects, six to be exact. The six smart projects were announced by Commander-in-Chief Dubai Police, his Excellency General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, during an official visit to Smart Service Department. First among the six smart projects is Smart Data Center, highly equipped with state of the art storage, security and networking devices along with high speed internet.
The second project in-line is Institutional Monitoring System, aimed at improving institutional efficiency and services delivered to internal as well as external public. The system will monitor impact of applications in increasing productivity and reducing down-time for applied systems.
Next is a Virtual Program for training the security staff. The main emphasis will be on safe usage of weapons.
The fourth project is revamping of Dubai Police’s website to include new services, enabling citizens to request for traffic accident reports, vehicle decommissioning services and corporate files services. These will enable public to request for desired reports and documents directly, without actually visiting Command and Control Center of police. This will not only provide convenience to general public and save their precious time, but will also lessen burden on Command and Control Centre.
The final two projects are Smart Adjuster Application for in-house use by Dubai Police and updation of Dubai Police Android app. Both with the aim of improving productivity, information transfer and ensuring easy contact with citizens.
