Geely Auto, the sub brand of Swedish automaker Volvo, has launched its all-new Geely Emgrand X7 Sport SUV in the UAE in the presence of media people who test drove the utility vehicle and were highly impressed at the end of the drive.
The Geely Emgrand X7 Sport has many tricks under its sleeves, which make it stand out from the crowd. Its sporty looks are reminiscent of its ‘Sport’ badge and portrays Peter Horbury’s vision of how a Geely should look. The immaculate attention to detail is carried all the way to the interiors, with spacious seats and ergonomically placed instruments. The Emgrand X7 Sport comes equipped with a unique flat bottom steering, a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder mill and swift transmission coupled with one of the best suspensions currently available in the SUV segment. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shifter.
Both front wheel and all-wheel drive version are available. The Emgrand’s superior design and use of quality components and manufacturing procedures aided in keeping NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) level well within normal range.
In the safety department, it has 7-in-1 Active Safety System, 4 air bags, and front and rear seat belt systems.
The media journalists invited by Geely to test drive the Emgrand X7 Sport gave thumbs up to the ride, as they drove across UAE; from the beaches of Ajman through the deserts of Muharhab to the highlands of Fujairah. The Marketing and Sales Head at Geely Middle East, Mr. Fern Yu said that the feedback from media was not shocking at all, since they had left no stone unturned to equip the X7 Sport with the modern amenities.
