The exclusive distributor of Toyota and UAE Police’s long term mobility partner, Al-Futtaim Motors delivered upon its promise to support UAE Vision 2021’s Green Initiative by allowing Sharjah Police to test drive the Toyota Mirai, zero-emission hydrogen-powered car. They further strengthened their partnership with Sharjah’s Police by delivering 127 Toyota vehicles including Camry, Prado, Hiace, Corolla and Land Cruiser.

The Toyota Mirai is superior to battery-powered hybrids in preserving environment by emitting water instead of CO2. It uses electric motor that is powered by hydrogen fuel-cells instead of battery. Apart from having no adverse impact on environment, the Mirai also boasts longer range and better fuel economy than electric vehicles.

Senior officials from both partner organizations attended the handover ceremony at Sharjah police Headquarters. The Managing Director Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors, Saud Abbasi said that Al-Futtaim Motors has been a long-term partner of Sharjah Police and they are overjoyed to further enhance this working relationship by extending Sharjah Police’s fleet by 127 vehicles. He further added that Al-Futtaim will always proudly extend its unrivaled focus of quality and premium services to its government partners.
