The Audi sub-brand Quattro’s name has been changed to ‘Audi Sport’ and the automaker plans to introduce many new models under this new division. One of the models recently launched at the New York Auto Show is the Audi R8 Sport Edition, which is a limited edition sports car boasting some impressive features.

The Audi R8 Sport Edition carries the same 5.2L V10 engine good for 540 horsepower, as the regular R8. Most of the upgrades are cosmetic such as the set of new 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, glossy red brake calipers and red finish on the side blades and side mirrors. The front grille, spoiler and the diffuser feature titanium black trim, while the exhaust pipe is covered in gloss black color.

The interior also boasts some attractive upgrades including illuminated door sills, black and red colored Nappa leather seats and red trim on the engine start switch as well as on the drive select buttons.

The automaker will build 200 units of the Audi R8 Sport Edition and the price will start at €181,900 (approx $193,100). Opting the Sport Edition in V10 Plus will push the price up to €205,800 (approx $218,500). Audi will start taking orders for the sports car in May and the deliveries will begin later this year.
