Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has launched 5 new exciting intercity buses with air pressure control system on the Sharjah – Abu Dhabi route. These buses will prove to be a delight for commuters due to the luxurious features and the new safety technology which prevents tire related accidents. The prominent features include:

The air pressure control system will help the buses to monitor and automatically inflate and deflate tire pressure, significantly reducing the number of accidents mainly caused by skidding and roll over. Additionally, the buses feature lane departure system that also averts crashes with the vehicles ahead.

The 46 seat coaches are said to contain 3 LCD screens and are suitable for hot weather. They are the most aerodynamic efficient in the UAE with least air resistance. There are 12 emergency exits, an ABS system, 3 point seat belts and satellite system which make them more reliable and safe.

The air pressure control system is only available in these Sharjah buses co-made by Sweden and Brazil. The 5 buses make a total of 23 Volvo buses in the overall 88 vehicle fleet of SRTA.
