The Dubai’s motorists have been facilitated by Police allowing them to pay traffic fines through a credit card in installments. The payments can be made on Dubai Police’s official website or app. The initiative was taken by Dubai Police in association with First Gulf Bank (FGB) for the sake of convenience of drivers and to avoid accumulation of fines. This collaboration also strengthens their strategic partnership
An installment can be extended up to 6 months without interest. Brig. Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi (Director General of Smart Services Department, Dubai Police) believes this would be the quickest and easiest way to pay traffic fines.
However, it is to bear in mind that the violators can only pay through installment if the fine is more than AED 1,000. Dubai Police is striving hard to develop smart services and apps that align with Dubai’s national objective of becoming one of the smartest cities in the world.
