The French automaker, PSA Group is all set to unveil its new luxury 2017 DS 7 Crossback SUV at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show. We just have received some important details regarding the vehicle.
The powertrain and other mechanical components of the DS 7 Crossback are similar to the 2017 Peugeot 3008, which is also a compact crossover SUV made by the PSA Group’s sub-brand. However, design-wise, the DS 7 Crossback SUV boasts a unique persona and enhanced features. Up front, the sharp LED headlamps along with chrome detailing and a large grille add to the sporty look of the SUV.
On the inside, premium leather seating and two 12-inch displays can be found. One display is for the instrument cluster, while the other is used for the infotainment system.
Powering the 2017 DS 7 Crossback SUV will be a four-cylinder engine, while the range topping trim, known as the E-Tense, will carry a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor. The hybrid system will produce up to 300 horsepower. Moreover, a 13-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery will be used along with the hybrid system making it capable to travel 37 miles on a single charge.
The Crossback will also feature latest technologies including a DS Connected Pilot self-driving system, DS Park pilot function to aid in parking and the DS Active Scan suspension system.
Look out for more details, as the DS 7 Crossback makes its debut in Geneva in the coming week.
