The Geneva hype is building up and Volkswagen has taken advantage of this situation to release a teaser image of the upcoming Volkswagen Arteon. The Arteon is the successor of VW CC fast-back sedan. Once launched, it will replace the CC and will be positioned above the Volkswagen Passat.
The previously released sketch of the Volkswagen Arteon didn’t give us a good about the car’s front and rear section, but in the new teaser images, we can see the front grille and the taillights. It appears that the VW Arteon heavily resembles the Sport Coupe Concept GTE, which was unveiled in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Up front, the Volkswagen Arteon boasts a wide grille, which joins the LED headlamps. The daytime running lights can also be seen. Toward the back, the taillights seem to be divided between the trunk and the rear fender. The couple-like fastback design remains the same.
Volkswagen states that the Arteon will have a spacious interior featuring latest amenities. No information regarding the powertrain has been disclosed yet, but we expect it will offer a range of TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines. The Arteon will ride on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform.
