Volvo has released a teaser image of a new crossover on its social media account. Although the automaker has not revealed the name of the model, but we believe it is the new 2017 Volvo XC60.

The teaser image only shows slight details of the front fascia, which includes new “Thor’s Hammer” head lights that extend all the way to the front grille. The Volvo XC60 slots below the XC90 in terms of size, but it rides on the same Scalable Premium Architecture (SPA platform).

The expected powertrain include a 2.0L turbo-charged four-cylinder engine spinning out 240 horsepower or a 2.0L bi-turbo four-cylinder mill spawning 302 horsepower. A hybrid or electric-powertrain might also arrive later.

It is also reported that the 2017 Volvo XC60 will boast an array of advanced safety features such as the exclusive IntelliSafe system, which includes a forward collision, warning system, adaptive cruise control and autopilot.

Volvo’s post on the Facebook page states that the debut will take place on March 7, 2017, which means it will be revealed at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show. Volvo will also introduce the new S60 Saloon and the V60 Estate shortly after the launch of new 2017 XC60.
