Good news for the Toyota fans, the Japanese automaker is expected to release the new Toyota Supra at the Tokyo Motor Show this year along with the updated Toyota S-FR and the new Corolla GTI.
The news is broken by the Japanese auto magazine ‘Best Car’, according to which only concept model will be unveiled that will closely resemble with the production model of the Toyota Supra. The prototype has been spotted at the Nurburgring track.

Moreover, it is reported that the new Supra might carry a 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit, which will deliver up to 255 horsepower, whereas a 340 hp 3.0L turbo engine and a 2.5L hybrid unit are also a possibility.
Design wise, the new Toyota Supra will resemble the Toyota FT-1 concept, revealed in 2014. The production of both Supra and BMW Z5 will take place at the factory in Austria. Since Toyota and BMW have joined hands to build sports cars, we can expect the BMW Z5 and Supra to share certain elements.

More details will be uncovered before the Tokyo Motor Show kicks off this year in October. The expected release date of the 2019 Toyota Supra is mid or late 2018.
