An impressive fleet consisting of eleven supercars was sold at an auction for only 3.1M EUR (about 4.07M USD / 2.7M GBP).
These were previously owned by Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue who is the son of Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. During a 2011 investigation, the vehicles were seized by French authorities after an alleged theft of public funds at home in the African nation. All eleven supercars were seized at the president’s massive 101-room mansion located near Champs Elysees.
This impressive supercar collection included two Bugatti Veyrons (because one is simply not enough), Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT, Maserati MC12, Ferrari 599 GTO, a Rolls-Royce, an Aston Martin, a Maybach and two Bentleys. All these precious automobiles were sold by auction house Drouot and most of them were barely driven (or not at all).
These 11 vehicles were part of a more extensive 26-supercar fleet which was shipped from United States to France in 2009. Since then, the remaining cars were transported to Equatorial Guinea.
