Land Rover is working on a new fast-roof design SUV, which is believed to be named Range Rover Sport Coupe. How do we know? Well, we have recently caught it testing driving.

Although wearing a heavy disguise, the slanted roof design of the Range Rover Sport Coupe is evident. We already know that the Range Rover Evoque Coupe is scheduled to join the lineup, but now, these spy shots confirm that a coupe-like SUV is also under development.

Judging from the sloped-roof, we believe third-row seating won’t be an option. Besides the updated roof design, the Sport Coupe looks almost like the regular Range Rover Sport.

Code-named L560, the new Sport Coupe SUV is reported to ride on the same platform as the Jaguar F-Pace. Being larger in size, the new SUV will slot between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport.

The SUV will most likely be powered by an in-line 4-cylinder engine, however people in the US may get a 6-cylinder unit as a standard option. Reports also indicate that an electric variant may soon join the lineup featuring the same powertrain as would be available in Jaguar I-Pace.

More details will be released as the so-called Range Rover Sport Coupe makes its debut later this year as a 2018 model. We can expect it to arrive here in the UAE shortly after its international launch.
