The new and updated Porsche Panamera range has been launched in Dubai at a special event held at the Nikki Beach Resort and Spa, Pearl Jumeira by Porsche Center Dubai and Northern Emirates, Al Nabooda Automobiles. During the event, two new all-wheel drive variants – the Panamera 4S, and Turbo – were unveiled.
The new Porsche Panamera is in second generation and boasts both mechanical as well as design updates. Apart from updating the previous engines, two new twin-turbo engines have been launched focusing on providing better gear ratio and fuel efficiency. These engines will be mated to automaker’s first eight-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission system.
Both the Panamera 4S and the Turbo feature the Porsche Traction Management System (PTM), which is a full-variable all-wheel drive system. The Panamera 4S is fitted with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that develops 440 horsepower, while the Panamera Turbo carries a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that churns out 550 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque.
Besides mechanical upgrades, the new Porsche Panamera range sports an entirely redesigned front fascia with a crossbar in the radiator grille and new LED headlights. At the back, the 3D LED taillights with four-point brake lights add to the overall athletic design of the car.
For improved driving dynamics, the new Panamera features adaptive air suspension system with new three-chamber technology, Porsche Active Suspension Management (electronic damper control), enhanced Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport system and more.
The new Porsche Panamera is available for sale at the Porsche Center Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah. The Panamera 4S starts from AED 483,700, while the Panamera Turbo is priced at AED 679,800.
