Audi and FAW Group have been collaborating since past 29 years reshaping the Chinese automotive industry. Recently, Audi revealed its plans to expand its partnerships with FAW Group to cope up with the increasing demand of electric vehicles in the Chinese market.

Both Audi and FAW Group have drawn up a 10-year plan, where we see Audi aiming at expanding its vehicle lineup and adding electric vehicles. The Audi A6 L e-tron will be the automaker’s first locally built plug-in hybrid model, while the Q7 e-tron will be imported. The FAW WV factory in China will produce 5 E-tron models in the next 5 years.

Audi unveiled the all-electric e-tron Quattro concept two years back at the IAA, and it is expected that this concept would also make its debut in China. The e-tron Quattro is a purely battery powered vehicle with a range of 310 miles.

The automaker has already mentioned that the e-tron Quattro could recharge itself in just 50 minutes with a DC fast charger. Additionally, it features induction charging technology allowing it to charge wirelessly. It also offers various technological enhancements and driving aids.

Reportedly, the e-tron Quattro will be launched sometime next year.
