The specs for the 2017 Tesla Model S Electric GT race car have been confirmed recently at the 2017 Autosport International in the UK. Although it is a regular Model S with some modifications, the performance figures are extraordinary.

The 2017 Tesla Model S Electric GT weighs 1,100 lbs lesser than the regular Model S and offers a higher power output of 778 hp. In terms of acceleration, the regular Model S P100D with Ludicrous Mode sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds, while the Electric GT can hit the 62 mph mark in just 2.1 seconds, that’s even better than Bugatti Chiron.

The season will comprise of seven championship rounds and the races will be held at tracks across Europe including Nürburging (Germany), the Circuit de Catalunya (Spain), Mugello (Italy), Brands Hatch (UK), Zandvoort (Netherlands), Estoril (Portugal) and Paul Ricard (France),
