Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik has revealed the company is considering a new crossover.
Speaking at a recent press event, Krafcik said “We lead the industry in sedans, we have a bunch of them, but if you look at our crossover line, we [only] have two nameplates, the Tucson and the Santa Fe.” He went on to say the company is “very under-represented” in a fast growing segment.
As a result, Krafcik said “it seems sort of obvious” that Hyundai will introduce a new crossover in the future. He declined to go into specifics but hinted it could slot below the Tucson because the compact crossover segment is booming.
