The 49th Score BAJA 100 racing event is ready to kick off on November 16th, 2016. We will be seeing the return of Ford at the event with a redesigned Ford F-150 Raptor.

The redesigned Ford F-150 Raptor will race in Stock Full class and features some minor updates to comply with the BAJA 100’s racing regulations. It includes a steel safety cage, puncture-resistant fuel cell, ergonomically designed sport seats and full-race harness. Besides interior upgrades, it will also boast new LED lighting and enhanced factory springs and shocks.

The powertrain will remain the same as found in the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor i.e. a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, delivering up to 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. The Ford F-150 Raptor will be driven by Greg Foutz – a four time BAJA 100 winner.

Talking about the truck, Foutz stated that the stock engine, transmission system and the powertrain calibration are spectacular, thus they don’t need any upgrades. The suspension system and the wheels are also carried over from the standard Ford F-150 Raptor.

The redesigned 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor will be on display this week at the 2016 SEMA Auto Show.
