Long after acquiring Volvo Cars, the Chinese automaker Geely announces yet another subsidiary under the name Lynk & Co. The new company is going to organise its launching party on October 20, 2016. To attract audience, the company has released a small teaser showcasing what the new brand is going to be about.

Geely in association with Volvo Cars is set to launch a solid SUV, as the first model of the new car brand. The SUV is rumoured to be based on CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform that will be available in the upcoming XC40.

According to Volvo’s Senior Vice President for marketing, Alain Visser, Lynk & Co will evolve the whole idea of auto making. Adding further he said that the cars will be nothing like the typical automobiles we see in the market.

Sources also reveal that Lynk & Co aims to design machines with low carbon emission, but no precise details on this have yet come to the fore.

Earlier this year, Reuters informed that the Chinese car brand, Geely was working on a new subsidiary under the alias L. The company would hit the Chinese market first and will enter the European automotive industry before reaching the United States.
