Dubai Police force is working hard to fix the traffic situation of the city and catching the offenders. Recently, they introduced an advanced Radar system called Mesta Fusion, which can spot basic traffic violations such as driving in the wrong lane, switching to a different lane without indicating, speeding or breaking a red light. Besides taking photos, the Mesta Fusion can also record videos of up to 10 seconds to easily spot the traffic offenders.
A total of 28 new Mesta Fusion radar systems have been installed across Dubai, while the old cameras will also be replaced with the new ones. Talking about Mesta Fusion, Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazrou stated that the new radar system has been installed in order to catch drivers who think they are more important than others, as they break the traffic rules. The radar system will also catch the queue jumpers. This has become one of the leading reasons of accidents in Dubai.
The Mesta Fusion system will also aid in capturing the red light jumpers before they even reach the signal. The radar system will read the speed of the vehicle to know if they even stop at the signal or just pass by.
Currently, the new radar system has been installed at the following locations: Damascus Road; MirdifBridge; Al Warqa; Al Hemriya; City Centre Deira; Clock Tower; Dubai Mall; Oud Metha Road; Al Wasl Road; Al Khazan; Al Mawakib School; Umm Suqiem Road; Flower City.
