Ken Okuyama, the renowned Japanese designer famous for the Enzo Ferrari design, revealed the Kode 57 Supercar at this year’s Quail: A Motorsports Gathering in Monterey.

The Kode 57 supercar is as stunning as the previous designs by the internationally acclaimed designer and is propelled by a V12 engine which churns out 600 hp. The chassis is made from highly rigid aluminium and the engine is mounted in a front mid-ship configuration.

The name Kode 57 is a reference to the year in which iconic cars like the Jaguar XKSS and Ferrari 240 Testa Rossa were launched. It was the time when motor racing started getting extensive followers around the world. Okuyama plans to build several more versions of the stunning coupe, although it will still be a very limited edition model meant for exclusive clients.

The exterior of the two seater supercar sports front air intakes, fins positioned behind each tyre and a large rear diffuser. The Kode 57 supercar has a definite Formula car look with its classic race car proportions and sleek silhouette. The rear-hinged doors open backwards and up, giving easy room for the driver to enter and exit the car.

The cockpit of the Kode 57 can be outfitted in individual colour schemes. The engine and suspension settings can also be modified to suit the owner.

Performance statistics are yet to be revealed.
