The troubles of Tesla Motors are not going to end any time soon, as another bad news has surfaced. Recently, a Tesla Model S caught fire during a test drive in Biarritz, France and that too without any impact. The vehicle was there as a part of the ongoing promotional activity for the Tesla Model S and X.

The incident happened when the Model S 90D made a loud noise and the dashboard indications mentioned a problem with charging. A Tesla employee present in the car administering the test drive directed the driver to park the car on the side of the road. All three people including a passenger left the car immediately in order to ascertain the solution.

The car got completely destroyed before the firefighters could do anything substantial to save it. Another Model S turned to flames during supercharging in Norway earlier this year. Tesla has already incorporated changes in the battery pack by adding a titanium shield at the bottom in order to avoid the rides catching fire on impact with other cars.

A Tesla representative reiterated the company’s efforts to ascertain all the facts and extend cooperation wherever required. Now I believe the veracity of the saying that when it rains, it pours.
