VUHL has officially unveiled their 05 sports car at the Royal Automobile Club in London.

The company declined to release specifications but Autocar says the model is powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that develops 285 bhp (212 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 244 km/h (152 mph).

Little else is known about the model, but it has an aluminum monocoque chassis that delivers three times the torsional rigidity of a Lotus Elise. The car is also extremely lightweight as it has reinforced plastic body panels.

The VUHL 05 will go into production in November and pricing starts at $91,380.

Only 50 units will be built annually and the first deliveries are scheduled for next spring.
