This September, Paris Motor Show looks all set to be a blockbuster event, as fans will see the unveiling of the new Honda Civic Type R Concept. The production version is slated to hit the showrooms in September 2017.
The Japanese automaker has quickly decided to introduce the 10th generation Honda Civic Type R Concept as the 9th generation model was launched only last year. Besides the Type R Concept, the new 2017 Civic Hatchback will also be on display at the exhibition.
The ride will be manufactured at Honda’s plant in the UK. Under the hood, it will be having a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-4 engine pumping out a power of more than 340 horses and 450 pound feet of torque hooked up to a six-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 60 mph acceleration time is expected to be just 5 seconds. The new model will be donning a more reserved appearance, as compared to the previous Honda Civic Type R. The ride will likely be rivaling the Subaru WRX STI, Ford Motor Company Focus RS and Volkswagen Golf R in the current market.
The 2016 Paris Motor Show will be kicking off from September 29 and the new Honda Civic Type R Concept displaying should be one of the highlighting events of the show.
